Position Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and managing the delivery of business systems and solutions to KeyMark customers. The Project Manager works closely with our customers business, technical, and project management staff to build the relationship to foster a cooperative working environment. Importantly, the Project Manager has financial oversight of the projects under his or her control, is responsible for leading the resources charged to the project, and actively controls scope to deliver a successful implementation. Essential Duties & Specific Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager include performance of the following actions: Ability to lead through influence and build strong customer relationships Ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people Manage, execute, and track projects using change control and risk management disciplines. Manage daily project activities, including establishing short-and intermediate-goals and expectations, prioritizing activities and maintaining client and stakeholder communication. Ability to work closely with internal resources, 3rd party vendors, and customers to define project priorities, manage scope, adjust deliverable schedules, and monitor project budgets. Develop and coordinate accurate project plans, resource schedules, and cost estimates across a range of project types, scales, and complexities. Assist in reallocating resources among projects to meet changing needs. Conduct regular meetings with project principals, stakeholders, and facilitate sub-team meetings. Provide regular status updates to customers and KeyMark project and management principals. Resolve project, customer, schedule, and resource conflicts in an equitable and timely manner. Mentor other KeyMark staff members on creating, maintaining, and managing project plans and schedules. Develop and maintain an ability to speak to the merits of, and differences among, KeyMark's evolving hardware, software, and services offerings. Participate in pre- and post-sales meetings with potential KeyMark customers. Note: The above are examples of key duties and responsibilities, and are descriptive rather than restrictive in nature. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The Project Manager has no primary employee supervisory duties; however, the Project Manager does have functional management responsibility for KeyMark and vendor technical staff assigned to specific projects. These responsibilities are temporary and are limited to those projects within the Project Manager's purview. Responsibility for Contacts: Extensive contacts both internally and externally. Internally, the Project Manager interacts with local and remote management, staff, and business partners. Externally, the Project Manager interacts with multiple levels of customer representatives and vendors. Responsibility for Resources: The Project Manager is responsible for Intellectual Capital, collateral materials, and processes used to guide projects.
Qualifications & Required Background:
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer
- Engineering or equivalent required.
- PMP certification.
- 3 - 5 years experience of managing large IT projects.
- Minimum 5 years of IT industry experience.
- Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Proficiency in PMI project management methods, including internal documentation and external communications.
- Experience creating and editing Microsoft Project plans.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of OnBase, Kofax, AnyDoc, and similar KeyMark-offered products.
- Working knowledge of Enterprise Content Management solutions.
- Experience with working and managing teams on multiple projects.
- Disciplined work habits and attention to detail; self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong decision-making skills, with the ability to consider a broad range of
- internal and external factors when problem solving and rendering decisions.
- Exceptional written skills including ability to author client communications, expository project documents (e.g., Statements of Work) and strategic analyses.
- Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills.
